Itinerary
Day One
Begin your adventure with an early morning departure to Murchison Falls National Park with a visit to see the baby rhinos at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way. After lunch, continue to the Park to view Magnificent Murchison Falls from the top.
Day Two
This morning, explore the exhilarating beauty of the park by taking a game-drive in the famous Murchison Falls’ vast savannah grasslands on rolling hills located on the North bank of the park. Break for lunch and then take a fabulous relaxing three hour boat-launch to the bottom of the Falls.
Day Three
After breakfast, say goodbye to Murchison and take a long ride over hills, down valleys, through villages and trading centers with lunch en-route to Kibale Forest (7 hour journey).
Day Four
Early morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, arguably Africa’s largest surviving hardwood forest. The forest is home to 13 primate species, birds and many other forest animal species. After lunch, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day Five
Quench your thirst for adventure this morning as you sacrifice your morning sleep for a sunrise game-drive. Resting for lunch, you then take an afternoon boat-ride on the approximately 33kms long channel “Kazinga Channel” that links Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel is a haven for probably the highest concentration of hippos in Africa and numerous Nile crocodiles as well as a rich bird-life that flourishes on the banks.
Day Six
An early breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge to arrive in time for a morning Chimpanzee tracking session. Packed lunch and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an opportunity for lucky visitors to spot the famous tree-climbing lions, often seen languishing in Fig trees.
Day Seven
Loaded with drinking water, a packed lunch and a walking stick, attend an early morning briefing by the Park Ranger. Enter the Gorilla Sanctuary to exploit your long awaited moment to encounter the World’s most endangered primate species.
Day Eight
Sadly exit Bwindi and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park to arrive in time for lunch at your chosen accommodation facility (6hours). The afternoon boat-cruise on Lake Mburo is followed by a short sunset game-drive.
Day Nine
Today, accompanied by an armed Ranger, take a morning safari walk, breakfast and an en-route game-drive as you exit the Park. Lunch in Masaka and return to Kampala.
