By Taxi:

By Car:

• If you prefer driving yourself, you can rent a car in Kampala. The drive to Mbale is approximately 225 kilometers (140 miles) and takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

By Matatu (Shared Taxi):

• These are shared minivans that operate on various routes. They are a common and affordable means of transport in Uganda. The journey might take a bit longer due to multiple stops, but it’s a great way to experience local travel.

By Road:

• The most common route is to drive from Mbale to the park. The journey is approximately 20 kilometers and usually takes about 1 hour, depending on road conditions1. It’s recommended to use a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season, as some roads can be rough.

Public Transport:
