KUSH AIR LAUNCHES JUBA – ENTEBBE FLIGHTS STARTING MONDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2024
Kush Air, a private South Sudan regional airline, on Friday, 6 December, 2024 added another new route to its expanding East and Central regional network with the launch of its Juba in South Sudan – Entebbe in Uganda route at Entebbe international Airport (EBB).
Flights on the Kush Air Juba-Entebbe route will operate three times a week starting Monday, December 9, 2024 and will also regularly fly on Wednesday and Friday in a week with plans to include Sunday.
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) Director Safety, Security and Economic Regulation, Eng. Ronny Barongo stated that Uganda will provide a conducive environment for Kush-Air to operate in Uganda having met all the technical requirements to operate in country.
The General Manager, Entebbe International Airport, Mr. Emmanuel Barungi, who represented the Director Airports and Aviation Security, said that UCAA will continue to improve and upgrade facilities at Entebbe international airport and the regional airports to meet international standards and open new routes taking advantage of the 58 bilateral agreements.
The DASH 8Q400 Aircraft was received with a water gun salute at the function attended by members of the Airline Operation Committee led by the Chairperson, Ms Maureen Kabura, ticketing agents, DAS Aviation handling services, airport staff and other airport stakeholders.
