Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arriving at the airport, you will be greeted by our driver who will take you to your accommodation. If your flight arrives early, you can opt to visit the botanical gardens. Here, you can see colobus monkeys, black and white vervet monkeys, different bird species and many species of plant. Or you can just relax on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning you will be picked up by our driver. You’ll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the Equator for lunch at Igongo restaurant.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking, Boat Cruise and Game Drive
A very early morning start, heading out for chimpanzee tracking in the Kalinzu forest. The tracking will take approximately 3-4 hours in a tropical forest, where you expect to see chimpanzees up close.

After lunch, head out for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel, a natural channel between Lake George and Lake Edward. You can expect to see hundreds of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes as they cool off in the water. You’ll also see a wide variety of different bird species. Following the boat ride, you’ll take a short safari game drive. Have your camera ready for lions, elephants, water bucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs and so many other animals and birds.

Please note: Chimpanzee tracking requires a permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority which we will incorporate into the cost of your Safari. The permit cost is USD 250 per person. The minimum age for tracking is 12 years.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Parks
After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Bwindi or Kisoro with a lunch break along the way. The drive will take you scenic routes with tea plantations, mountainous scenery and verdant villages. Arrive in the evening where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
Day 5: Gorilla Tracking at Bwindi
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants! You will love the gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. You need to be prepared for a long hike (it can take from two to eight hours). Expect to walk a long distance in steep, muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead. But it will all be worthwhile when you observe the gorillas closely while they eat, play and rest.

This is a unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, the amount of time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. Your ranger guide will always brief you on how to behave with these giant apes.
Afterwards, drive back to Lake Bunyonyi. Optional activities here include canoeing, swimming, visiting the local villages or just taking it easy.
Please note: Gorilla tracking requires a permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority which we will incorporate into the cost of your Safari. The permit cost is USD800 per person. This price is fixed by the Ugandan government. The minimum age for tracking is 15 years.
Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park
After a relaxed breakfast and any other optional activity, you’ll drive to Lake Mburo National Park with a lunch stop at Igongo restaurant. After lunch, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in the evening where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.

Day 7: Lake Mburo Whole Day
After breakfast, go for a guided nature walk with your range guide. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, impala, water bucks, bush bucks, topis, buffaloes, elands and a variety of different bird species. You may also opt to go biking, guided by a ranger. (This is a safe park where you can walk or bike without fear of being attacked by a cat.)

Return to the lodge for lunch, and relax for a few hours, before heading out for a safari game drive. Or you can choose to just chill at the lodge.
Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park – Entebbe
After breakfast, drive towards Entebbe as you head on a safari game drive. You’ll have a stopover at the Equator for lunch, shopping and photos.

Arrive in Entebbe in the evening where you can stay at the Green Valley Guest House. If, however, your flight departs on this day, you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your plane.
