The Akira Health and Wellness Festival in October from 6th to o9th of 2022 includes a number of great events to involve individuals or your teams, partners and colleagues to give your bodies and minds a well-deserved treat.

ABOUT TOORO KINGDOM
Tooro, sometimes spelled as Toro is a Bantu kingdom located within the borders of Uganda, in Eastern Africa. The current Omukama of Tooro is King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV took to the throne of Tooro
Tooro is a constitutional monarchy and one of the five traditional kingdoms located within the borders of Uganda. The current Omukama (King) of Tooro is His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
The people native to the Tooro or Toro kingdom are called Batooro and their language is called Rutooro.
Tooro Kingdom was founded in 1822 when Omukama Kaboyo Olimi I, the eldest son of Omukama of Bunyoro Nyamutukura Kyebambe III of Bunyoro, seceded and established his own independent kingdom.
Tooro Kingdom was part of the large empire of Kitara, under the reign of the Babiito dynasty, which dates back to the 16th century.
As with Buganda, Bunyoro, and Busoga, Tooro’s monarchy was abolished in 1967 by the Government of Uganda, but was reinstated in 1993.
