The Uganda Railway Museum officially opened its doors to the public on March 16, 2022. The grand opening was attended by notable figures, including Ms. Caroline Adriaensen, the Head of Cooperation at the European Union Delegation in Uganda, and Mr. Sam Kizalwa, the Assistant Commissioner in charge of museums and monuments at the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities. The museum was established to celebrate the enormous contribution of railways to Uganda's history and to keep the memories of this vital infrastructure alive.
