BirdNest Resort announces new Philip Ryckaet MD

BirdNest Resort, a lakeside resort at Lake Bunyonyi near Kabale Town in South-West Uganda, announced new management.

Philip Ryckaet, one of BirdNest Resort’s directors, became Managing Director of BirdNest Resort on 06 September 2021.

He succeeds Paul Ryckaet Pablo, who died mysteriously at his home in Belgium on 12th April 2021.

According to BirdNest Resort message shared on the hotel’s social media pages, Philip Ryckaet took on the position of hotel MD immediately, starting this month.

The lake resort management was swift to share the good news about the new appointment on the social media wall, and ask the Uganda Tourism fraternity to join them in welcome the new lodging facility director.

The message read, “Hello friends and family, the moment we have been waiting for is finally here. Please help us welcome our new Managing Director Mr. Philip Ryckaet.

“Today marks the beginning of a new dawn as we officially announce the new management of Bunyonyi BirdNest Resort.

In honor of our beloved founder Mr. Paul Ryckaet Pablo, please help us welcome Mr. Philip Ryckaet, who will be carrying on his father’s legacy and joining us as the Managing Director.

We know that the Covid-19 crisis and the loss our dear founder left the BirdNest family devastated however,we have full confidence that Mr. Philip’s timely visionary leadership is what the business needs to go to the next level.

Therefore, we are calling for support as we navigate and ensure a successful transition.
