Ekyooto Ha Mpango festival launched by King Oyo during the 26th coronation ceremony aims at showcasing the best of Tooro’s rich heritage through various activities in art, music, fashion, food, sports, business clinics plus the breathtaking tourism attractions in the Rwenzori region.
Exhibiting innovations that emanate from the wider Rwenzori region, Ekyooto Ha Mpango Cultural and Tourism festival will feature marketing businesses and investment opportunities in the Rwenzori region and providing a platform to engage in inclusive conversations on the integration of culture and communities in the tourism business ecosystem.
The cultural and tourism festival offers a range of sessions that provide attendees the opportunity to interact and learn from each other.

About Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival
The Empango is an annual cultural ceremony to mark the King (Omukama)’s coronation. The Omukama opens the function by beating the Empango Nyalebe drum to signify He is the greatest man (Rukirabasaija) of the kingdom of Tooro.
Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King Oyo, is the reigning Omukama of Tooro, in Uganda.
King Oyo was born on 16 April 1992 to King Patrick David Mathew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa Kaboyo
