Community and Conservation Partnerships at Volcanoes Safaris Kibale Lodge Kibale Forest National Park.
Volcanoes Safaris Kibale Lodge Kibale Forest National Park is working in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute to organise community outreach programs through the Roots and Shoots program, particularly to build up women leaders in conservation.
Volcanoes Safaris Kibale Lodge Kibale Forest National Park is also working with the Jane Goodall Institute and wider participants of the Albertine Apes Alliance, an informal advocacy network bringing together stakeholders in conservation and ecotourism in the Albertine Rift, to promote responsible ecotourism in Kibale Forest.
A new cultural partnership with the Rwenzori Sculpture Foundation, set up by Rungwe Kingdom, will bring sculptures relating to the traditional clans of Uganda to the lodge.
Volcanoes is building a new vocational centre at Sadhguru School, located near Kibale lodge.

The charges below only apply to 100% advance payment on accommodation. If you only paid the required 1 night deposit, this won’t be refunded.
- 25% if cancelled four days in advance.
- 50% if cancelled two or three days in advance.
- 50% if few of the total booked rooms are cancelled.
- 100% if cancelled one day prior to booking or on the same day.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations. The costs of the cancellation fees will escalate the closer the guest/s cancels to their confirmed departure date.
• Should a cancellation be made more than 8 weeks prior to departure, the non-refundable deposit of 20% is forfeited.
• Should a cancellation be made between 4 & 8 weeks prior to departure - 50% cancellation fees apply.
• Should a guest cancel less than 4 weeks or 31 days prior to departure - 100% cancellation fees apply.
In case of any cancellation the tax (VAT) of 18% on the advance will have to be retained as it is to be paid by us to the authorities by the 15th of the next month.
Note:
Any postponement of the booking will be treated as a cancellation and will be governed by the Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds only through cheque for bookings made by cash/cheque/bank transfer.
- Online refunds for bookings made through the online payment system usually take 3-5 working days.
In case of LPO payment is expected within 30 days after which 5% interest applies per week.

Once a reservation is confirmed, please notify us by call or email of any cancellation or modification of the booking at least 3 days (72 hours) before arrival for FIT bookings (free independent travellers) and 2 weeks before arrival for Group bookings in order to avoid a charge of 1 night’s stay to be imposed.

Children of all ages are welcome at Volcanoes Safaris Kibale Lodge Kibale Forest National Park Fort Portal, Uganda.
The check-out time is until 10:00 AM, giving guests ample time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or wrap up any last-minute activities before departing.
• Children under 15 years of age are not permitted to track the chimps. They are welcome at the lodge, but please be advised the property doesn't have childcare facilities.
Check out time for all guests is 11am on the day of departure
Child Policy: Please note that Volcanoes Safaris Kibale Lodge Kibale Forest National Park Fort Portal does not allow children to stay free of charge.
Extra charges may apply for children staying at the hotel.
The hotel management is committed to ensuring a peaceful and relaxing environment for all guests, and additional charges may be necessary to accommodate children.
If the room is available, normal tariff will be charged. On failure of the guest to vacate the room on expiry or period the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the Guest.
