Masai Mara National Reserve Park Fee Increase Update

Kenya’s southwestern Narok County Government have announced the following park entrance fee increases for Masai Mara National Reserve and updates to the child policy for the reserve from January 2024: The new park fees will be applicable to all travellers visiting the Masai Mara National Reserve from 1st January 2024 –

Masai Mara National Reserve Park Kenya Entrance Fees 01 January – 30 June 2024:
Adults (18 years and older): USD 100 per person per day
Children (9 – 17 years): USD 50 per person per day
Children (0 – 8 years): Free of charge

Masai Mara National Reserve Park Kenya Entrance Fees 01 July – 31 December 2024:
Adults (18 years and older): USD 200 per person per day
Children (9 – 17 years): USD 50 per person per day
Children (0 – 8 years): Free of charge

As these changes are mandated by the government and beyond our control, we must inform you that these additional costs will be passed on to your guests:

All new bookings travelling prior to 31 December 2023 will be subject to an additional day of park fees on the day of departure.

All existing bookings travelling prior to 31 December 2023 will be asked to settle the additional day of park fees on the day of departure, in the lodge, if this has not already been added onto the booking.

All new enquiries, quotes and provisional bookings for travel from 01 January 2024 will be amended to include the increased park fee and additional day of safari park fees on the day of departure.

About Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos.

Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people.
