New Board at Uganda Wildlife Authority

Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) the Uganda Government conservation agency responsible for the management and protection of Wildlife in and outside protected areas, confirmed the appointment of new members to its Board of Trustees.

On 14 September 2023, a significant occasion of inaugurating the 10th Board of Trustees for Uganda Wildlife Authority in Kampala.

PS Mrs. Doreen S.Katusiime led the unveiling of the new Board members and introduces the Board Charter plus it’s 15 vital core roles. Professor James Kalema is the New UWA Board Chair.

Congratulations to all members appointed to the @ugwildlife 10th Board of Trustees. Your expertise in the respective spheres will be of great importance in conserving Uganda’s wildlife, growth of the institution and Uganda’s tourism industry.

To the outgoing  board members, you steered UWA well even in the face of the pandemic and brought it to progressive recovery, we appreciate your unwavering service to the conservation sector and the tourism industry as a whole.
