The hottest place to chill in Murchison Red Chilli is superbly located to explore the largest National Park in Uganda.

Situated in the heart of the park at Paraa, the camp is just 500m from the ferry, where all vehicles cross for Nile Delta game drives and from where boats depart for Falls & Delta trips.

Sometimes you don’t even have to leave the camp for game viewing though – hippo and warthog are regular visitors to the camp too

The whole lodge runs completely off solar and accommodation varies from en-suite thatched cottages to en-suite thatched safari tents with USB ports located in each, plus extra charging facilities are in the bar and pool lounge.

Red Chilli offer staff training programs, host a women’s group, work closely with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and the Ugandan Conservation Foundation and promote local businesses. Never has it been more important to be aware of our impact on the world than now.

Please take care and observe all speed limits, particularly through the park, where extra care and caution needs to be taken in the wet.

Murchison Red Chilli does not recommend travelling on roads after dark and be aware that all national park gates close at 7pm.

Mains electricity is currently over 30kms away, but over the course of the last few years we’ve risen to the occasion and can proudly confirm the lodge runs off solar, 100%.

Red Chilli Camp chose to limit WIFI to the pool lounge, because guests enjoying the restaurant would rather not be disturbed by people using the lodge as an extension to their office.

If possible, try and unplug from your screen, there’s so much to see in the present and we promise you won’t be disappointed.

The lodge is located in a malaria risk area and we recommend that you adhere to the advice of your doctor regarding prophylactics.

Ensure you bring enough prescription medication.

Insect repellent (spray) and other personal essentials are available at reception.

The Ugandan climate is tropical and generally rainy with two dry seasons (December to February, June to August). It is semi-arid in the northeast and the evenings are mostly warm.

The staff of the hotel will order a transfer for you. At the guests’ disposal, there’s also a laundry, dry cleaning, press and a concierge.

The property offers family bandas with two bedrooms, sitting room and veranda for $90 for up to 4 occupants, and $100 for up to 5 occupants. Contains one standard double and three single beds with linen, towels, mosquito nets, electric fan, lights and sockets, as well as solar hot water.

Superior Self Contained Banda
