Tanzania receives WTTC Safe Travels Stamp

Tanzania is the latest East African country to receive the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels Stamp.

Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Hamisi Kigwangalla, said Tanzania would use the stamp to promote its attractions in all its global source markets.

It will give travellers the confidence to visit our rich and varied attractions. We are confident that as more countries ease their travel restrictions, we will have more tourists.”

WTTC designed the stamp to allow travellers to recognise governments and companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols – so consumers can experience ‘Safe Travels’ in the wake of COVID-19.

Eligible companies such as hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, attractions, short term rentals, car rentals, outdoor shopping, transportation and airports, will be able to use the stamp once the health and hygiene protocols, outlined by WTTC, have been implemented.

Other East Africa destinations that comply with required standards include Kenya and Rwanda.

Responsible Tourism Company offers tailor-made tours and experiences according to the clients’ need and budget, including tours in and around Uganda: Gorilla tour in Rwanda and Uganda, Tanzania Wildlife safari holiday, Zanzibar beach holiday and safari, Kenya wildlife safari, source of River Nile and Jinja City tour, Kampala and Nairobi by night, Entebbe city tour, Mbale City and Mount Elgon National Park, Pian Upe of Wildlife Reserve, Nubian Cultural Village, and Murchison Falls National Park Safari and River Nile boat cruise.
