Day 1: Transfer & Introductory Birding

Your birdwatching trips Uganda experience begins with a transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to the Lake Victoria region.

Along the route, enjoy introductory birding with stops in wetlands and open countryside.

These habitats provide early sightings of common and migratory species, allowing you to begin building your bird list.

Arrive at your accommodation near the islands and settle in for an evening briefing on the days ahead.

Day 2: Musambwa Island Birding Expedition

After breakfast, take a guided boat trip to Musambwa Island, a key birding site known for its dense colonies and protected habitat.

The island offers excellent opportunities to observe large populations of Grey-headed gull along with cormorants and other water birds.

The rocky shores and surrounding waters create a dynamic environment for bird activity.

Guides will assist with bird identification, behavior observation, and photography positioning.

Return to your lodge for relaxation and evening birding around the lakeshore.

Day 3: Ssese Islands Birding Trails

Spend the day exploring the diverse ecosystems of the Ssese Islands, including forest patches, wetlands, and sandy shorelines.

Day 4: Return with En-Route Birding

Begin the day with a relaxed morning birdwatching session near your lodge, focusing on species active during early hours.

After breakfast, depart for the mainland and continue your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.

En-route birding stops allow for additional sightings in wetlands and agricultural landscapes.

The tour concludes with a transfer to your preferred drop-off location.
