Itinerary
Day 1: Adventure in Jinja – Rafting, Tubing, or Quad Biking (Overnight in Jinja)
Kick off your adventure with an early morning drive from Kampala to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital. Upon arrival, you have the option to choose one of three exhilarating activities: white-water rafting, tubing, or quad biking.
Rafting: Experience the rush of navigating the white-water rapids of the Nile River, accompanied by an experienced guide who will ensure a thrilling yet safe ride through the rapids.

Tubing: For a more laid-back experience, enjoy floating down the Nile River in an inner tube, soaking in the tranquil scenery of the surrounding lush landscapes.

Quad Biking: If you’re in the mood for an off-road adventure, enjoy a guided quad biking ride through the hills and villages of Jinja, exploring the region’s beautiful terrain.

After your selected activity, take a break to have lunch by the river. In the afternoon, you can explore more of Jinja, such as visiting the Source of the Nile or checking out local markets. After a day full of excitement, check in to your accommodation for the night. Enjoy dinner and rest up for the next leg of your journey.
Day 2: Morning Drive to Namayingo and Cruise to Dolwe Island
Following an early breakfast in Jinja, set out for a scenic drive to Namayingo District, located on the shores of Lake Victoria. Upon arrival, board a boat for a peaceful cruise across the lake to Dolwe Island, where you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the water and surrounding islands.

Upon reaching Dolwe, check in at La Fang Eco Resort, your base for the next two nights. Spend the day unwinding and exploring the island at your leisure, whether by walking along its shores, swimming in the lake, or simply enjoying the serene atmosphere. Dinner will be served at the resort’s restaurant, offering an amazing view of the lake during sunset.
Day 3: Relaxation and Exploration of Dolwe Island
Today is a full day to immerse yourself in the beauty of Dolwe Island. After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the island, where you’ll explore its natural beauty, learn about local wildlife, and get a taste of the island’s cultural history.

For those looking for some activity, you can swim in the clear waters of Lake Victoria, hike through the island’s lush landscapes, or participate in fishing activities. For a more relaxing experience, spend time on the beach, soaking in the tranquility of Dolwe Island.
In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset boat ride to view the island from the water. Return to the resort for dinner, and spend the evening unwinding in the peaceful environment.
Day 4: Tour Dolwe Island on Foot
On Day 4, enjoy a full day of exploring Dolwe Island on foot. After breakfast, take a guided walk through the island, discovering its hidden gems, local villages, and stunning natural landscapes. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the local culture, interact with island residents, and enjoy panoramic views of Lake Victoria.

Dolwe Island is rich in scenic trails, from forest paths to lakeside walks, offering plenty of opportunities for relaxation and photography. Take time to visit the island’s secluded beaches, explore the serene forest areas, and enjoy a quiet picnic along the shore.
Return to the resort in the late afternoon to relax and enjoy dinner as the sun sets over the lake.
Day 5: Return to Kampala
After breakfast on your final day, check out of the resort and board the boat back to Namayingo. From there, embark on the drive back to Kampala, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of your journey. You’ll arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon or evening, concluding a wonderful adventure in Jinja, Dolwe Island, and the serene beauty of Lake Victoria.
