FARMSTAY ZIROBWE TOUR, ZIROBWE
FARMstay Zirobwe is located in Wabitungulu Village, Zirobwe, in the Luwero District of Uganda. The farm is situated along the Busiika-Kikyusa Road, making it accessible for visitors traveling from Kampala and other nearby areas.
WHAT TO DO AT THE FARMstay ZIROBWE
ACCOMMODATION:
FARMstay Zirobwe has accommodation for 12 adults in the 3 chalets (each with a shared kitchenette), and 6 adults in the cottages.
The Chalets at FARMstay Zirobwe have been designed to not only blend into the natural surroundings, but are also made of eco friendly bricks and as much as possible, constructed using natural materials. Solar energy is used to pump and heat water as well as providing electricity to light the whole farm.

FARMING:
Visitors can participate in daily farm activities, such as feeding local free-range chickens, ducks, and geese, milking cows, gathering eggs, harvesting maize, beans, and other crops or tending to the herbal garden.
One can also decide to pick coffee (when in season) and work in the orchard of pomegranates and Soursop. This hands-on experience allows visitors to learn about farming practices and gain a deeper understanding of agriculture.
RETREAT:
Visitors are encouraged to explore the farms 67 acres of grounds: walking through the orchards and picking a pomegranate, harvest ripe coffee cherries, taking a serenity trek through the eucalyptus forest, visit the garden where a special banana species from whose fruits a local brew known as ‘Tonto’ is brewed and crown the tour with a visit to the herbal garden to savor the aromatic milieu.
There are resting traditional huts strategically located within the coffee plantation for visitors to take a break while on tour. FARMstay is an animal lovers’ paradise. It’s a chance to get close to a variety of our domestic animals.
From visiting goats and sheep and an opportunity to hand-feed Wasswa the goat, witness the free range chickens, ducks and geese feeding, talking to the flamboyant donkeys, to meeting Kahura the archetypal of the legendary Ankole longhorn cow together with her companions Chwezi, Diesel Petrol and Adam. Selected retreats (yoga, culinary, crafts, meditation and general wellness), are offered upon request.
MEALS:
FARMstay Zirobwe offers farm-fresh meals. A farm to table dining experience is offered at FARMstay Zirobwe. Delicious meals from fresh, locally sourced ingredients produced on the farm, are crafted by the FARMstay Zirobwe resident Chef.

From 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Nature Walk and Relaxation, Hands- on activities and Tea Break
From 4:00 PM -5:00 PM: Meat Tasting and Shopping
At 5:00 PM: Depart and head back to Kampala
