Itinerary

At 7:00 am, your driver guide will meet you at your accommodation in Kampala and you commence your tour to Jinja. The drive toward the East shall commence with;

A guided forest walk in Mabira forest.

The Mabira Forest is a rainforest covering about 300 square kms, located between Lugazi and Jinja. Protected as Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932, it is home for many endangered species like the crested mangabey found only in Uganda. In addition to nature walks and mangabey tracking, visitors can also go bird watching and zipling.   No matter what your interests are, you'll never run out of ways to enjoy the beautiful forest.

Ssezibwa Falls

Afterwards, proceed to the beautiful Ssezibwa Falls, as your guide provides  fascinating information on the  wonderful waterfall’s history. The  part that surrounds the falls is large, green, and full of trails. For nature lovers, there are hikes along the river. This Buganda heritage site is also thought of as a powerful place where many come for blessings

Source  of the Nile

Your next stop is the Source  of the Nile, the world’s longest river located in town of Jinja, with a boat-ride to both the Speke Monument and to a point where you may vividly see where the waters of the Nile separate from  the Waters of Lake  Victoria. In addition to a boat ride, you will visit Statue of Mahatma Gandhi, shop  some souvenirs, take a few photos, and see traditional dance performed by a group of kids.

Break for lunch and then proceed with a visit to the Bujagali area.

Bujagali area

The aforementioned sites are the highlights but there is plenty  to see in and around as well as along the way. After the trip, you will be transferred back to Kampala with a drop-off at your place of residence.
