Kasenda Crater Lakes Tour from Fort Portal, Uganda
KASENDA CRATER LAKES TOUR FROM FORT PORTAL, UGANDA
The Kasenda Crater Lakes in Uganda are a natural wonder, formed during violent volcanic eruptions around 8-10,000 years ago. These spectacular explosion craters are concentrated in the Ndali Kasenda Area within Kibale National Park. They’re just 25km south of Fort Portal city, situated on the fringes of the park.
The area is aptly dubbed the “Top of the World” due to its elevated position. You’ll be treated to magnificent views of Kibale Forest, the Kichwamba escarpment, tea plantations, Lake George, and the Rwenzori Mountains. Some of the beautiful crater lakes include
- Lake Nyabikere
- Lake Nkuruba
