Itinerary
From 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Depart from Kampala and Head to Mlinza Farm in Zirobwe
Start your journey early to make the most of your day. The drive to Mlinza Farm in Zirobwe takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Upon arrival at 10:00 AM, you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff at Mlinza Farm. Enjoy a welcome drink made from fresh farm produce.
At 10:30 AM, begin with a guided tour of the farm. Learn about organic farming practices, see the variety of crops grown, and visit the livestock areas. You’ll get to see cows, goats, chickens, and even beehives producing organic honey.
From 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Cooking Demonstration and Lunch
Participate in a cooking demonstration where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Ugandan dishes using fresh ingredients from the farm. Enjoy a farm-to-table lunch featuring the dishes you’ve helped prepare.
From 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Nature Walk and Relaxation, Hands- on activities and Tea Break
Take a leisurely nature walk around the farm. Explore the beautiful landscapes, enjoy bird watching, and relax in the serene environment.
At 2:30 PM, engage in hands-on farming activities such as planting, harvesting, or feeding the animals. This is a great way to experience farm life firsthand.
From 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, enjoy a tea break with freshly brewed herbal teas and snacks made from farm produce.
From 4:00 PM -5:00 PM: Meat Tasting and Shopping
Participate in a meat tasting session where you can sample various meats produced on the farm. You can also purchase fresh produce and organic products to take home.
At 5:00 PM: Depart and head back to Kampala
Begin your journey back to Kampala, reflecting on the day’s experiences and the fresh air of the countryside.
Arrive back in Kampala by 7:00 PM, ending your day tour with wonderful memories and perhaps some fresh farm produce to enjoy later.
End of Tour.
