Musambwa Island, Culture & Agro Tourism Booking Policy

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking
  • Balance payment is due 7 days before the tour start date
  • Bookings are subject to availability of permits and accommodation
  • Last-minute bookings are accepted depending on availability

Musambwa Island, Culture & Agro Tourism Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 60 days prior to commencement of a safari.
  • Refund on all pre-paid money will be based on cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges and banks.
  • Generally there is a 50% charge on cancellations with 14-35 days, 75% charge with 2-24 days, and 100% charge within 48 hours.
  • We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from any money paid.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Musambwa Island

Your eco journey begins with a morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe.

Travel to the shores of Lake Victoria, where you will board a motorized boat for a scenic transfer to Musambwa Island.

Upon arrival, settle into your eco-friendly island accommodation and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch.

In the afternoon, take part in a guided reptile and conservation experience, learning about the island’s protected species and ecological significance.

Later, enjoy a relaxed birdwatching session and sunset views over Lake Victoria.

Dinner and overnight stay on the island.

Day 2: Cultural Experience & Transfer to Agro Tourism Farm

Start the day with breakfast followed by a cultural walk led by local guides.

Learn about the traditions, beliefs, and daily life of the island’s fishing communities.

Mid-morning, depart Musambwa Island by boat and return to the mainland.

Continue by road to a selected eco-lodge or farm stay in Uganda’s countryside.

Upon arrival, enjoy a farm-to-table lunch before taking part in an introductory farm tour.

Explore gardens, interact with farmers, and gain insight into sustainable agriculture practices.

Dinner and overnight at the eco-lodge or farm stay.

Day 3: Agro Tourism Experience & Cultural Activities

After breakfast, engage in a full agro-tourism experience.

Visit different sections of the farm, which may include coffee, banana, and livestock areas.

Learn about organic farming methods, soil management, and food production systems.

Participate in hands-on activities such as planting, harvesting (seasonal), or food preparation.

This experience provides a deeper understanding of rural livelihoods and sustainable food chains.
