Day 1: Kampala - Masindi - RainTree Farm - Oyam (Abja Farm)

Continue to RainTree Farm in Masindi District, an innovative agricultural enterprise recognized for cultivating and processing premium Moringa oleifera products for local and international markets.

Day 2: Oyam - Delight Uganda Fruit Farm - Nwoya District

After breakfast, continue northwest toward Nwoya District, home to one of Uganda's largest commercial fruit farming operations.

The highlight of today is a visit to Delight Uganda Limited Fruit Farm, an expansive commercial orchard covering approximately 1,700 acres.

The farm is well known for producing a diverse range of tropical fruits including mangoes, oranges, lemons, guavas, jackfruit, pawpaw, avocado, and other indigenous fruit varieties.

Accompanied by farm staff, explore the orchards while learning about orchard establishment, irrigation systems, grafting techniques, pest management, harvesting methods, post-harvest handling, and fruit value addition.

The visit provides valuable insight into Uganda's growing commercial fruit industry and export opportunities.

Depending on the harvesting season, guests may participate in fruit picking and sample freshly harvested produce.

Day 3: Nwoya - Uganda Country Dairy Farm (Gulu) - Aswa Ranch (Pader District)

Wake up to a leisurely breakfast before departing for Gulu City, the commercial and administrative hub of Northern Uganda.

The drive passes through fertile agricultural landscapes where smallholder farms, commercial crop fields, and livestock enterprises dominate the countryside.

Your first visit is to Uganda Country Dairy Farm, an innovative dairy enterprise located in Gulu District. The farm serves as both a commercial dairy operation and a training center that promotes modern livestock management, dairy processing, and agricultural entrepreneurship.

During your guided tour, learn about every stage of milk production, from pasture management and cattle nutrition to hygienic milking, milk cooling, pasteurization, yogurt production, and quality control. Students, farmers, investors, and agricultural professionals regularly visit the farm to exchange knowledge and explore best practices in dairy farming.

You will also have the opportunity to sample fresh dairy products while interacting with the farm management team about opportunities and challenges within Uganda's dairy sector.

Following lunch, continue east to Aswa Ranch, managed by the National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC & DB) in Pader District.

Day 4: Gulu - Atiak Sugar Factory - Community Agriculture Experience - Karenga

Enjoy breakfast before departing north along the Gulu–Nimule Highway toward Atiak Sugar Factory in Amuru District.

The factory has become one of Northern Uganda's flagship agro-industrial investments, creating employment opportunities while supporting thousands of out-grower farmers across the region.

Upon arrival, a factory representative leads you through the sugar production process, beginning with sugarcane cultivation in surrounding plantations before progressing through harvesting, transportation, milling, juice extraction, clarification, crystallization, drying, packaging, and distribution.

Learn how the factory works closely with local sugarcane farmers through out-grower schemes that improve household incomes and strengthen rural economies.

The visit also highlights the company's collaboration with community organizations, including women-led enterprises that benefit from agricultural training, entrepreneurship programs, and market access initiatives.

After lunch in Gulu or Atiak, continue your scenic drive northeast toward Karenga District, gateway to Kidepo Valley National Park.
