Uganda airlines announced on its Twitter page that will operate four times weekly direct flights to Johannesburg. The twitter post said “#Johannesburg! The countdown is on. Just days to the D-day. Book your ticket now .”
The flag carrier airline of Uganda, Uganda Airlines, is set to launch flights from Entebbe in Uganda to Johannesburg in South Africa.
Effective Monday 31st of May 2021, Uganda airline will operate four weekly direct flights between Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Entebbe town and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg. Uganda airlines ENTEBBE – JOHANNESBURG flights will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while the return flights to Entebbe will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Fares start from USD 341 return trip. The prices are subject to variations in exchange rates on the day of ticket issue.
Uganda entry requirements
According to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) arrival and departure passengers are subjected to temperature screening on entry at Entebbe International Airport. Flight passengers must also wear a face mask appropriately at all times.
