Turkish Influencers Showcase Uganda’s Wildlife and Culture in Epic 9-Day Tour

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is celebrating the successful conclusion of a 9-day tour featuring a group of Turkish influencers, who explored the country’s stunning landscapes, wildlife, and rich cultural and heritage attractions sites tour.

The safari journey, which wrapped up with a high-profile business-to-business (B2B) engagement on July 15th, 2025, highlighted key experiences like the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Day Tour, the 3 Day Gorilla Trekking Tour from Kampala, and the Queen Elizabeth Safari, positioning Uganda as a must-visit destination for global travelers.

The influencers’ itinerary kicked off with an exhilarating Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Day Tour, where they tracked Uganda’s only population of white rhinos.

Located 176 km north of Kampala, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary offers a 1.5 to 2 hours guided trek allowing visitors to witness conservation efforts that have grown the rhino population to 42 since 2006.

The group captured stunning footage of these majestic animals and rare bird species like the shoebill stork, amplifying Uganda’s wildlife appeal.

The adventure continued with the 3 Day Gorilla Trekking Tour from Kampala, taking the group to the misty forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This Uganda safari package, featuring an $800 permit per responsibletourismcompany.com, offered an intimate encounter with mountain gorillas, limited to eight tourists per group.

The Turkish influencers documented the rugged trek and awe-inspiring gorilla encounters, solidifying Uganda’s reputation as a prime primate destination.

The Queen Elizabeth Safari followed, featuring a cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where the group spotted over 600 bird species and tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector.

Responsible Tourism Company Ltd  notes that these two-hour boat rides provide a serene yet thrilling experience, cementing Queen Elizabeth National Park’s status as a top attraction.

Beyond wildlife, the influencers delved into Uganda’s vibrant culture through a cultural and heritage attractions sites tour, visiting Fort Emin Pasha to trace Ottoman roots from the 19th century under Mehmed Emin Pasha, and engaging with the Alur, Batwa, and Bakiga communities.

The tour included a visit to Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a treasure of the Buganda Kingdom, as well as a vibrant Ndere cultural showcase and culinary experiences.

These stops highlighted Uganda’s 65 tribes and historical landmarks, offering a deep connection to the nation’s past.

The tour concluded with a business-to-business (B2B) meeting graced by Ambassador Nusura Tiperu, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) Chair Pearl Kakooza, and tourism stakeholders, aiming to tap into Turkey’s outbound tourism market, projected to reach 10 million travelers annually by 2025 per the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

This aligns with a 2023 Journal of Sustainable Tourism study, which found cultural exchange tours can boost tourism revenue by up to 15% in emerging markets.

The influencers’ social media posts, featuring iconic moments at the Equator and Murchison Falls, are set to inspire a global audience.
