5 Day Western Uganda Safari | Nature, Hiking & Wildlife Safari Tour, Uganda
This 5-day safari begins in Kampala and takes you west to Fort Portal, a scenic city surrounded by crater lakes, tea plantations, and mountain views.
The journey is designed for travelers seeking variety, combining hiking in the lower Rwenzori ranges, exploration of lowland rainforest ecosystems, hot springs, birdlife, and classic savannah wildlife experiences.
Highlights include a guided hike through the Rwenzori foothills with panoramic views of the Rift Valley and Lake Albert, immersive exploration of Semuliki National Park (one of Uganda's most unique and underrated protected areas, a true lowland tropical rainforest that's the easternmost extension of the vast Ituri Forest from the Congo Basin), visits to hot springs, birdwatching along Lake Albert, and game drives through Semuliki Wildlife Reserve.
