The film, which traces the River Nile from its source in Uganda, follows the personal journey of a Ugandan diplomat confronting her lifelong fear of water while rediscovering her country’s rich identity, culture, and natural heritage.

After a successful world premiere in Guangzhou, China, where it captivated over 73 million viewers, the documentary is now inspiring audiences at home with powerful messages of sustainability and national pride.

A Boost for Responsible Tourism and Conservation

Organised by the Uganda Tourism Board, the premiere highlighted the vital link between protecting the Nile and growing Uganda’s tourism economy.

Attendees, including dignitaries, creatives, and tourism stakeholders, enjoyed networking, traditional attire displays, and themed merchandise that celebrated Ugandan heritage.

The documentary underscores Uganda’s role as the cradle of the Nile, promoting eco-friendly travel experiences that support local communities and preserve natural wonders.
