4th Corporate Run 2026

Corporate Run 2026 Uganda | Thousands Brave Rain in Kampala to Run for Expectant Mothers and Safer Childbirth

Thousands of runners, walkers, corporate leaders, and community members gathered at NEC Pitch in Bugolobi, Kampala City, on Sunday, 11th October 2026, for the fourth edition of the Corporate Run.

Despite heavy rain, participants showed up in force under the powerful theme “Run for Expectant Mothers,” turning a fitness challenge into a meaningful drive for maternal health across Uganda.

Organised by Corporate Games Uganda, the event offered 15 km, 10 km, and 5 km races plus a 3 km CEO Walk (Chief Executive Officer).

Registration kits cost UGX 30,000 each, with proceeds supporting the purchase of Mama Kits, essential childbirth supplies including sterile gloves, surgical blades, cotton wool, soap, and delivery sheets.

The ambitious goal was to mobilise 5,000 Mama Kits for under-resourced health facilities, particularly in Buvuma Island, Karamoja region, and Kyampisi Health Centre in Mukono District.

Ian Rumanyika, chairman of the organising committee, emphasised the urgency: no woman should die while giving birth.

The initiative builds on previous years’ success and aligns with national efforts, as government figures show a significant gap between available Mama Kits and the nearly two million births recorded annually in Uganda.

A Morning of Resilience and Community Spirit

Heavy downpours failed to deter the crowds. Corporate teams, business executives, families, athletes, and members of the public filled the start area opposite Village Mall in Bugolobi town.

Upcoming athlete Raymond Omara of Air Force Secondary School claimed victory in the 15 km race and received an air ticket from Uganda Airlines.

The strong turnout and expanded partner network reflected growing corporate and public commitment to the cause.

The Capital Markets Authority (celebrating its 30th anniversary as co-host), betPawa, Ruby Hospital, Rwenzori, Deposit Protection Fund, Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Airlines, Ministry of Health, US Embassy, CINAT Group, among others.
